ProgAI is operated by Makevia Oy. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the ProgAI app, our website, and support. Contact us at teamprogai@gmail.com about privacy or your data.
Account-linked training and nutrition records are stored in Supabase. Some preferences, onboarding answers and in-progress work are kept on your device. An optional onboarding nutrition draft is kept locally before signup and transferred to your account when you open Nutrition after completing signup.
Groq is our third-party AI provider. Before an AI program request or meal-photo estimate is sent, the app identifies Groq, explains what will be shared, and asks you to agree. You can cancel and use manual workout creation or food entry.
Groq states that inference inputs and outputs are not retained by default, but may be logged for reliability or abuse investigations for up to 30 days, or longer where legally required. Groq retains service-usage metadata. See Groq’s data practices and privacy policy.
Calorie-target calculations run in the app. They do not send your measurements to Groq. AI outputs and calorie targets are estimates, not medical advice.
Packaged-food lookups send the barcode to Open Food Facts. The service also receives normal network information, such as your IP address, and the app’s identification. We do not send your ProgAI account identifier with this request. Manual food-library search runs on your device.
Camera permission is used only for meal photos and barcode scanning. The system photo picker gives us access to the image you select; we do not browse your entire photo library. You can deny camera access or change it in iOS Settings and still enter foods manually. This release does not access Apple Health/HealthKit, contacts or device location.
Apple processes App Store payments. We receive subscription entitlement and transaction information needed to provide access; we do not receive your payment-card details. Deleting ProgAI or your account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Manage subscriptions in your Apple account settings.
Our service providers process network and diagnostic information, such as IP addresses, request times, response/error information and authentication events, to operate and secure the service. ProgAI stores account-linked monthly AI and photo-scan counters to enforce allowances. We do not include advertising SDKs or cross-app advertising tracking in this release, and we do not sell personal information or share it with data brokers.
We use your information to create and secure your account, save and sync your records, personalize the training and nutrition features you request, manage subscription access, respond to support requests, and prevent fraud and service abuse. We do not use health, nutrition or weight information for advertising.
Where European data-protection law applies, the legal bases include providing the service you request, your consent for optional AI sharing and health-related features, legitimate interests in service security and support, and applicable legal obligations. Where your information qualifies as health or other special-category data, explicit consent is required for optional processing. You can stop using optional features, delete records, withdraw consent by contacting us, or delete your account. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Providers may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Applicable transfer safeguards may include adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.
We keep account records while they are needed to provide your account and requested features. You can edit or delete food entries and weight check-ins in the app. Use Account and settings → Delete Account to request deletion of your account and associated active database records. The app reports success only after the server confirms deletion. If deletion fails, retry or contact us.
Limited information may remain in backups, security logs, payment records or records required by law, according to the relevant provider’s retention practices and legal requirements. Groq’s separate retention practices are described above. Contact us for help with a specific deletion or retention request.
We use encrypted network connections, authentication and database access controls to restrict access to account records. No system can guarantee absolute security. Keep your sign-in information private.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export or restrict processing of your information, object to processing, and withdraw consent. Email teamprogai@gmail.com to make a request. We may need to verify account ownership before responding. You can complain to your local data-protection authority; in Finland this is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman. We do not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
ProgAI is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Optional automated calorie-target estimates and weight-loss/gain setup are for adults 18 and older. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information inappropriately.
